My Featured Bridal Jewellery

My bridal jewellery, in this case, 2 necklaces got featured in a USA wedding planner's blog.

Very proud about it, though they got my blog name kind of wrong. They wrote it as 'Twisted Bridal' instead of 'Bridal-Twist'. Oh well, at least they got my name right.

La Cure - Dead Sea skincare

A friend told me that she has an online business selling dead-sea skincare products called 'La-Cure' which is from Jordan.

I've always wanted to try dead-sea products but was put off by the high prices - what if I don't like it or it is not suitable for me - it will be a lot of money down the drain.

That's why I was pleasantly surprised that 'La Cure' dead sea skincare products are so reasonably priced.

La Cure is giving away free samples at this moment so you can try before buying it.

Facial Gua-Sha

Let me introduce you to 'Facial Gua-Sha'

But first, what is Gua-Sha?

Gua Sha is an ancient Chinese technique that involves lightly stroking the skin with a smooth blade typically made from jade or water buffalo horn in order to promote blood circulation to heal the body.

It is also sometimes referred to as "friction-stroking", because the skin is stroked with friction in the direction of blood flow.

Gua Sha is a technique that promotes blood circulation and can remove toxins from within the body.

It is usually done on one's back.

Facial Gua Sha is different from regular Gua Sha in that the skin is handled more carefully. This is because the skin around the face is more sensitive and thinner than the skin on the back.

This is what is being stated about Facial Gua-Sha :

It's an anti-aging routine that lifts the face, lessens wrinkles, improve your blood circulation to give your face a beautiful radiance.

Your face's skin will also increase its absorption ability so that it can absorb any treatment products apply on your face better.

Effects you can see/feel :

1) Dark circles decrease
2) Eye Bags/Puffy eyes decrease
3) Fine Lines reduced
4) Uneven tone improved
5) Smoother skin
6) Smaller pores
7) Dark spot lighten
8) More radiant look
9) Skin Lifted
10) Skin Firmer
11) Double chin reduced/Refined better face shape
12) Skin condition improved

I had gone for Facial Gua-Sha twice and my friend had attended a facial gua-sha course at one of the Community Club. Seemed kind of complicated as apparently there are acu-points to press on etc and also the facial gua-sha price are so expensive.

So for me, I just do the simple method, which is just to gua-sha the face all over in an upward movement.
You do not gua-sha on a dry face but to use facial oil but lazy me, I just splash plain water on my face for easier movements.

I do this gua-sha almost every night or every other night and this is my results after a couple of months :

1) Dark circles decreaseno (see earlier article "Panda Eyes" for solution)
2) Eye Bags/Puffy eyes decrease - no
3) Fine Lines reducedyes, slight, crow's feet and laughter lines are not so deep
4) Uneven tone improvedyes
5) Smoother skinyes
6) Smaller pores - no
7) Dark spot lighten - yes
8) More radiant look - yes
9) Skin Lifted - yes
10) Skin Firmer - yes
11) Double chin reduced/Refined better face shape – don't know, I don't have double chin
12) Skin condition improved - yes

There will be some slight redness when you gua-sha the face but the redness goes away almost immediately.

You cannot stop yourself from aging but you can DELAY aging.

Panda Eyes

Do you have dark-eye circles?

I did and yes, I've tried all kinds of brands of products that claim to help dark-eye circles.

All those high-end brands and middle range brands - I've tried them all. The result?- zilt, nothing, no help at all.

One day, while in WATSONS, this sales-lady recommended this product. I would say, it's on the low end brand and anyway, it wasn't that expensive so why not?

Put the eye-patches on and WOW! when I took it off, I can actually see that my dark-eye circles are a bit lightened. It worked! So I'm now trying to be diligent and put the eye-mask on my eyes at least once a week.

So cheap price does not mean cheap quality.

This product is "ZA Dark Circles Gone" eye masks. Apparently it is a subsidiary of Shiseido.

There are 8 sets in a box and it cost SGD $24.50 at WATSONS.

I think it's worth trying. At that kind of price, your heart won't feel so painful if it does not work for you, and in any case, you'll still get your eyes moisturised.

Wedding Invitation Cards

Hi Ladies and Guys,
I know that usually the hotels here provides the wedding invitation cards if you hold your wedding reception/dinner in their hotels but if you are thinking of having and giving your own cards some oomph - here're some ideas :

CHOOSING YOUR COLOURS
To make the most important information stand out, limit the number of colours you use to two or three.

Don't force all the pieces of your invitation to be an exact match. Think coordinate, not match.

(Click on any images to see a bigger image) :

FONT
The font you choose can dramatically affect the style your invitation communicates.

First
and foremost, it must be easy to read.

Second
, the font you select should tell the same story as the colour and paper choices you've made so far.

Limit
the number of fonts to one or two.
Too many types of fonts looks like a hodge-podge. Use the bold, italic and bold italic font styles to create different texturers without using a second or third font.
If you use too many fonts, you risk making your invitation cards look amateurish and illegible. If you think something looks funny, it probably is.

These cards' samplings are just some ideas that you can tweak here and there to make it your very own unique wedding invitation cards.
